Instacart-Get Grocery Delivery App Reviews

I would like to be able to leave the HEB grocery bags outside for the Insacart employee to pick up and recycle upon their delivery. Since I dont go to the grocery store I have a lot of bags just sitting in my cabinets. We have enjoyed instacart it has helped us as a family.

I love this app. Made life easier for me and I recommend it to everyone.

Not thrilled with the delivery price surges during busy times, however still saves me from going to the grocery store. Great service, great app. Use it all the time!

I have used this app plenty of times and loved it.

At first I thought it was a dream to be able to get groceries from an app, but after using it a handful of times over half a year... sometimes it can be harder to plan around Instacart than finding the time to go grocery shopping myself. What I mean is its super duper inconsistent with its delivery times... More often than not Ill either see on the home page or after put a bunch of stuff in my shopping cart that they wont deliver until tomorrow. I mean Im ok with that if its like 10 or something... But 7pm? 8pm? Please. I miss Google express when I was back in Santa Clara. Sadly, since I dont have Amazon Prime, Instacart is my only option currently for delivered groceries so I still use it sometimes... When it lets me. Sigh.

Since the birth of our twins last year, my husband and I have come to rely on Instacart for regular grocery delivery. I used to make several trips to the grocery store per week to ensure fresh food in the house at all times, and Instacarts service has allowed us to keep up this supply while maintaining our babies nap/feed schedules. For this opportunity, it has worked well. However, the quality of service weve received has been spotty at best. Orders are frequently incorrect, and on a few occasions our groceries have been delivered to the wrong address. Customer service representatives are very slow to respond when something has gone wrong. Separately, the interface does not work smoothly for users. Recently, we have begun to encounter serious problems with the freshness of the food being delivered. More than half the time, the fresh greens and/or milk that we receive has spoiled by the time it reaches us. Often, a delivery window will not be available until several hours from my order time -- but I will receive a message from our shopper regarding replacements, etc. *immediately* after Ive placed the order. This leads me to believe that the food is sitting in someones car for several hours before it reaches us. This is unsanitary and completely unprofessional, as it poses serious health risks to customers. Its a good concept, but by no means do they run a tight ship.

The app is easy to use and the delivery was fast! What more could you ask for?

Makes it easy not having a car in Miami. Takes a few minutes to order online, pay using my ApplePay wallet and I usually receive the items in less then 2 hours. Definitely recommend

Makes ordering groceries quick and efficient. Very user-friendly. Remembers past orders and gives you option to rebuy whole order or specific items in order, which saves me tons of time. Gives you real time tracking of your orders progress.

for anyone whos short on time, this app and service is a lifesaver, top-notch customer service

Let me start out by saying I have held off on posting a negative review for about 5 deliveries because the customer service reps in general have been pretty responsive to the delivery errors, have given some sort of goodwill gesture & promised "this never happens & we will surely be addressing this" spiel but how much can one girl take. I would also like to mention that I have been an avid user, placing at least one order if not two per week totally in the 1000s of dollars. I began using Instacart in November of 2015 and thought I had found gold. After dealing with Safeway Instacart was a ray of sunshine. However in the last two months the service has gone so far downhill I have begun the search for a new option, I guess the honeymoon is over. The reoccurring issues I have encountered have been as mentioned by other reviewers, poor produce selection, receiving a box of pre washed lettuce already half wilted & soggy or green bananas to name a few. But my major issues have to do with the shopping/shoppers. They no longer text you (I request this option) with changes & default to the automated Instacart text that sends u a link to the website with only ONE option...approve item. It states in the auto text that the shopper will contact you if I if they do not receive an approval but it rarely happens & inevitably your order shows up with either the wrong item, they nix the item altogether or they contact you for the first item change but not for the 2 other changes they make later down your list which most likely end up not being what you wanted, I am guessing this is bc they were on a time crunch or simply got lazy. Oh & forget about the note section, it no longer gets read or at least in my recent personal experience. Ive even had a shopper show up wreaking of pot (no judgement, just do it on your own time) & to no surprise she left an entire bag of items in her car & I had to wait around for 2+ hrs for redelivery. Overall I was over the moon pleased with Instacart when we first met but like I said the honeymoon seems to be over.

Very well designed service. I get exactly what I want and when I want it with ZERO hassles. I recommend this for anyone who does not want to go to the store

We live in an area with horrible parking, so this service has been amazing! We place our order and it arrives shortly and we never move our car! Just so convenient!!

If you hate going to the store (like I do) Instacart is a game changer.

I have ordered through this service on work trips when Im on business trips for days at a time. I ordered for the first time at home being exhausted from a work trip I didnt want to leave home. I received my order just to check my food and see how up charged I was. Up charged in access of $3 or more dollars baffled me. I will not be using this service again, after paying the tax, tips and delivery fees for busy times and then to be ripped off on the groceries. Never again and I mean that.

I dont have time to shop, with my job, but I am very particular about my food. My experience has been thoughtful shoppers, eye toward freshness, and thoughtful packaging. 5 Stars from this household.

My favorite thing on earth. Well, except my son. And my husband. And my mom. And I really love vacation. And popcorn with homemade caramel sauce. But REALLY - I wouldnt want to go on if I had to spend my weekend at the grocery store, hating mankind again. ❤️
